Blogification and Art

Al Brand is an emerging painter with who I shared an exhibition @ Main Artery Studion and Gallery
I played music with Al and Levet8 during the opening of this show inside of the studio area.  Rain that evening kept us from performing under the canopy.  We had mostly been doing long improvisational jams, but that night we played a bunch of songs after a short jam.  Playing the bass in the beginning was relieving and helped ease me into the groove.Steve's old jam buddy was recording us, Mike Z and Hector were hopping in, people were walking and gawking @ paintings.  Trafford had made his mom's recipe for fizzy lifting punch which he served in the crystal.  Ron was on hand to share wine making with the art patrons.  The show ran for about ten days...with no paintings sold.  No big deal though, most had a new experience with art and their creative potential.

Emily Barnes shared her beautifully deep folk tunes...

Rock with Jason @ Stanhope House for Main Artery Live Painting...

where I hobnobbed with Only Living Boy, Thick Leather Brick, and The Quimby Mountain Band...

working with Dan Hirshberg has brought me around these guys pretty often.  Recently their singer and mandolin playing folkernaut Jesse Bardwell asked me to design the concert poster for their upcoming CD release party.  So, excited about that and have been drawing and painting alot.  Tickets are fifteen dollars in advance and twenty @ the door.  Show is @ The Historic Blairstown Theater... find tickets @ thehbt.com
